Meet your Counsellor

A woman with long wavy hair, glasses, and a red knit beanie, standing outdoors near a moss-covered tree and a small stream.

I am Emma (she/her)- a cis-queer woman, social worker, counsellor, and fitness instructor.
I am settler of mixed European ancestry, who grew up in the Prairies on Treaty 7 and 6 land. Until recently, I called Calgary home, a place where I spent most of my life.

I am so grateful to have the privilege of living, working, and playing on the unceded and traditional territory of the Cowichan and Penelakut Tribes, as well as the Halalt, Lyackson, Stz'uminus, and Snuneymuxw First Nations. I am so lucky to spend time in nature on these lands and waters, connecting with my people, dogs, and body with intentional movement.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University and I am a Registered Social Worker in BC and Alberta. My experiences include working with individuals facing mental health concerns such as psychosis, anxiety, depression and suicide, as well as connecting with folks on the autism spectrum or who are neurodivergent.
I am also experienced working with people who use drugs, Indigenous and 2SLGBTQ+ clients; and I am comfortable supporting individuals in crisis situations.

For our work together, I will draw on a range of modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy, strengths-based and solution focused therapy; family systems; and somatic based approaches- all with a queer and trauma-informed lens.

I look forward to supporting you, hearing your stories, and working together towards positive change for your wellness.
